Official Presentation

Mondovì, July 15, 2025 – A former Jesuit College filled with guests hosted the official presentation of the Granfondo Alpi del Mare, scheduled from September 19 to 21, 2025 across Monregalese and Alta Langa. The event promises excitement and participation, bringing together institutions, athletes, partners, and cycling enthusiasts.

After the preview in Rome last May, the Monregalese stop marked the true “home” debut of the event, which is anticipated as one of the highlights of the national cycling scene.

Territory, Sport, and Tourism at the Center

The welcome was given by Alberto Sarrantonio, press officer, followed by journalist Andrea Berton, who hosted the evening. Speakers included the mayor Luca Robaldo, councilor Alessandro Terreno, and several regional representatives, including Paolo Bongioanni and Franco Graglia. Topics addressed included territorial development, sports tourism, and the importance of networking.

Representing amateur cycling was Emiliano Borgna from ACSI, while Gabriella Giordano (ATL del Cuneese) highlighted the event’s tourist potential.

The Race, Athletes, and Inclusion

Vittorio Mevio, president of GS Alpi, outlined the technical details of the route. On stage were also four prominent names in amateur cycling: Roberta Bussone, Luca and Martina Cavallo, Matteo Raimondi, who shared their experiences and the emotions linked to the Granfondo.

Inclusion was also highlighted, with the announcement of athletes with disabilities participating in the Cicloturistica, thanks to the association Discesa Liberi.

In Memory of Lorenzo Tealdi

One of the most heartfelt moments was the tribute to Lorenzo Tealdi, a symbolic figure in local cycling to whom the event is dedicated. The speech by his daughter Maria Lorenza was touching, and she was presented with a bouquet of flowers.

Official Jersey and Mascot

The presentation of the official jersey, designed by Giorgio Mondino, was highly appreciated. He explained the chromatic and symbolic inspiration linked to the Alpi del Mare wolf. The official mascot Gammy was also unveiled, symbolizing strength and team spirit. The Cicloturistica jersey, in lilac, was also presented.

Closing the evening were speeches from main sponsors, including Bongioanni Caldaie (title sponsor) and Officine Mattio, emphasizing the value of events that generate economy, passion, and identity.
